Dear Colleague,

It is a matter of great pleasure and pride to extend this invitation to you to attend the Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) Provider & Instructor Courses which are being organised by the Jaipur Chapter of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine.

The FCCS Course offers an approach to initial management of the critically ill patient for providers not formally trained in critical care. Participants will learn useful information about the extended care of critically ill patients, especially care related to mechanical ventilation, monitoring, organ hypoperfusion and neurological support. Providers will receive guidance for acute problems encountered in the ICU and for sudden patient deterioration.

The content of Course was developed with input from International Critical Care experts and liaisons from the American Academy of Family Practitioners and the American College of Emergency Physicians.

The Society of Critical Care Medicine, USA have been granting licenses for the sole purpose of conducting the Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) Course. One such license was obtained by Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine – Jaipur Chapter in 2003 and under that license Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine – Jaipur Chapter have been conducting FCCS courses in India. So far we have conducted 34 FCCS Provider & 24 FCCS Instructor Courses in which more than 1800 doctors interested in critical care medicine have participated.

This is a rare opportunity to get a thorough insight into the field of Critical Care Medicine which is a fast expanding superspeciality in India and to become an Instructor for the FCCS Courses. We, therefore, look forward to your active participation.

With regards,

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Narendra Rungta                                             Dr. Pravin Amin
